The Mehr News Agency reported that the swift growth of investments in the Kish Industrial Zone has resulted in increased infrastructure for the industrial towns and a positive economic transformation of the region.
According to statistics, the value of foreign investment increased from $90m in 1381 to $200m in 1382. Furthermore, the value of foreign investment through the second half of the previous year has been calculated to be more than $167m, while during the first half of the same year a growth of more than 500 percent was recorded.
The increase of issued industrial licenses for development and installation in 1382 comparison with 1380 and 1381 has shown positive growth.
Additionally, in the industrial import sector of Kish the share of machinery imports as compared with material and supplementary imports has consistently increased over the last three years. This increase through the six month periods in 1380 until 1382 was 11, 13, 5/17, 5/27, 30 and 57 respectively.
